We rent roaming robots and we will still tell you plainly: for some functions, the fixed photo booth is the better booking. It is the least exciting thing we own and it is often the one that earns its money hardest.
What it is
A stationary booth with a 21 inch touch screen, a proper ring light, and a printer. It sits in a corner you choose, an attendant runs it, and it prints continuously for as long as your function lasts.
The lighting matters more than people expect. Most banquet halls are lit for atmosphere rather than photography, which is why phone photos from receptions come out orange. A ring light fixes that, and it is the single biggest reason booth prints look better than the pictures your guests take themselves.
Why volume is the whole argument
A roaming robot reaches the guests who would never join a queue. A fixed booth serves the guests who will, and it serves a great many of them.
At a function with a thousand guests, the booth will comfortably produce several hundred prints across an evening. Per photo, nothing else we offer comes close on cost. If your goal is simply that as many people as possible go home holding a picture, this is the machine that does it.
What is included at Rs 35,000
- The booth, ring light and printer
- An attendant for the full event, managing the queue and reloading paper
- Delivery, setup and packing up
- Unlimited prints during your booked hours
- A custom frame with your names and the date around every photo
- Digital copies of every picture, handed over afterwards
- Sharing by WhatsApp, SMS, email or QR download
An optional backdrop and prop box can be added. Props are worth it more often than people think — they are what turns a stiff group of four into a photo somebody keeps.
What the venue needs to provide
One standard 15 amp power point near the booth, and roughly two metres by two metres of floor including the backdrop. Setup takes forty five minutes.
Where you put it matters. Near the food, and people photograph with plates in their hands. Too far from the main hall, and it sits idle all evening. The spot that works is on the natural path between the stage and the dining area, where guests pass it anyway.
Booth or robot?
Book the booth when the guest count is large, the budget is tight, the venue is a normal indoor hall, and you want the most prints for the money.
Book the selfie robot when the guest list is smaller and you would rather every table was visited than have a long queue in one corner, or when you want the thing itself to be talked about.
Book both for large weddings and corporate launches. The robot works the room and brings people in; the booth becomes the print station. This is what most of our repeat clients end up doing, and they arrive at it on their own after the first function.
Buying instead of renting
If you are starting an events business, the booth is the sensible first purchase. It costs considerably less than a robot, it needs no driving skill, and it earns on volume from the first booking. We build units to order in thirty to forty days and train your staff on site.
Tell us your date, venue and guest count and we will confirm availability and give you a firm price.
