Think about arriving at a wedding. You park, you walk in, someone you half recognise points you towards the hall, and you find a seat. Nobody plans that part. It is the one moment of the evening left entirely to chance.
What changes at the door
Two humanoid robots stand at the entrance, one on each side. As guests come through, they greet them and offer whatever is on the tray — sweets, a welcome drink, akshata, a small gift.
What happens next is consistent enough that we now expect it. People stop. They take out their phones. The queue behind them slows down, and nobody minds, because everybody in it is watching too.
Children are the most direct about it and will simply stand there talking to the robot until a parent moves them along. But it is the older guests who surprise people. We have watched grandmothers who spent the whole reception seated go back to the entrance to be photographed with them.
What they are
Each robot is 5.5 feet tall in a moulded fibreglass shell, available in custom colours to match your stage or mandap. They hold a tray at waist height, which your decorator can dress however the function calls for — we have carried aarti thalis, mithai, garlands, welcome drinks and corporate gift boxes.
They are remote controlled by our operator. Not self-driving, on purpose: at an entrance with a hundred people flowing past, an autonomous machine either freezes or wanders. Ours does neither.
How the greeting works
They speak English, from a fixed script that you approve before the event. You decide the exact words — the family name, a line about the couple, whatever suits the occasion. If you want the robot to respond freely rather than play a set line, AI conversation can be switched on as an optional extra.
We write the script with you a few days ahead. It takes ten minutes and it is worth doing properly, because the same sentence repeated four hundred times needs to be one you are happy with.
Book them as a pair
One robot at an entrance looks like equipment. Two facing each other looks like a gate, and that reads far better in photographs — which matters, because the entrance is where your photographer will be standing for the first hour.
Beyond weddings
The same pair works at showroom openings, where the crowd on day one decides how the launch is remembered. At exhibition stands, where you need something that pulls people towards you across a hall of identical booths. At hotel and hospital receptions, where several clients have bought units outright rather than renting.
What it costs and what is included
Rental starts at Rs 25,000 for the event: two robots, a trained operator for the full booking, delivery, setup, packing up, the greeting script written with you beforehand, and tray dressing coordinated with your decorator.
We cover all of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Nellore, Hyderabad, Khammam and the towns around them. Outstation events carry a travel and stay charge, quoted before you book.
What to check before you book
The entrance needs a flat, level floor. Steps are the one thing that stops us, so if the doorway has a raised threshold tell us early and we will arrange a ramp.
We also need access about an hour before guests arrive. Setup takes forty five minutes and it should not be happening while your first relatives are walking in.
Send us the date and the venue and we will confirm availability the same day.
